In other words, there is way too much dictatorship going on right now about what’s ugly and about what’s hot. A woman has to be almost boyishly skinny in order to be considered all right. Preparing oneself to die easily, or to die nicely, or in good shape, would be more apt. Because that’s ultimately what you’re doing.
