Yeah. Right.
I’ve recently noticed that many songs (by dudes) have lyrics about how their girlfriends look the prettiest when they’ve got their hair up and in pyjamas/tracksuit bottoms/their oversized tshirts. Somehow they seem to think that this sends the message that women look better without make up on and not dressed to the nines; that the women that they want to be with can look like that anyway, because their love for them trumps the way they look. A good example is Drake- ‘hair tied, sweatpants, chilling with no make up on, thats when you look prettiest’
This is bullshit. The real reason that they like their girlfriends looking like this is because they evidently got some booty from them the night before. The only reason these girls look so under-dressed and un-made up (and the only reason why their boyfriends like them looking like this) is because they had sex the night before. So basically the only reason they look so pretty like that is because their “boyfriend” got some ass the night before and gets to re-live it by seeing their girlfriend in the “after-coitus” state. And we’re supposed to give them props because they like their girls better after sleeping with them?
Yeah. Right.
